Parking & Access
We have a large, open lot designed to accommodate everything from personal vehicles to full-size contractor trucks and trailers.
Free Parking
Ample free parking is available directly in front of the office and alongside the lumber yard. No meters, no time limits.
Truck & Trailer Friendly
Our lot has wide drive aisles and pull-through spaces. Bring your flatbed, enclosed trailer, or pickup truck — we have room.
Loading Assistance
Our team will help load your vehicle using a forklift or by hand. Just pull up to the loading area and we will take care of the rest.
Accessible Entrance
The main office entrance is at grade level with accessible parking spots near the front door. Our office, showroom, and indoor sales area are fully wheelchair-accessible. The outdoor lumber yard has gravel and compacted surfaces that are passable but uneven in places — please let us know if you need assistance and a team member will bring materials to you.
What to Expect
First time visiting a reclaimed lumber yard? Here is how it works from the moment you pull in.
Check In at the Office
When you arrive, head to the main office building at the front of the property. Our staff will greet you and help you get oriented.
Browse the Yard
Walk our organized lumber yard with a team member. We sort inventory by species, size, and grade so you can find exactly what you need.
Hand-Pick Your Materials
Unlike big-box stores, you can inspect and select every individual board. Our team will help you identify species, assess quality, and calculate quantities.
Get a Quote or Load Up
For smaller orders, we can load your vehicle on the spot. For larger projects, we will prepare a detailed quote and arrange flatbed delivery.
Pro Tip
For large or complex projects, email us your material list in advance at info@lumberminneapolis.com. We will pull and stage your order ahead of time so you can inspect it when you arrive, saving you time on site.
Yard Safety Requirements
Our lumber yard is an active work environment with forklifts, stacked material, and milling equipment. For your safety, please observe the following when visiting.
Closed-toe shoes required. No sandals, flip-flops, or open-toe footwear in the yard. Steel-toed boots are recommended but not required.
Stay with your guide. A team member will accompany you in the yard. Please stay on marked paths and away from active forklift lanes.
Children must be supervised. Kids are welcome but must stay with an adult at all times. The yard is not a play area.
Do not climb lumber stacks. Ask a team member to pull boards from high stacks. We have forklifts and ladders for that purpose.
Gloves available. We provide work gloves at the office if you want to handle rough lumber. You are also welcome to bring your own.
What to Bring
Coming prepared makes your visit faster and more productive. Here is what we recommend bringing to the yard.
Project measurements. Room dimensions, cut lists, or sketches of what you are building. The more detail, the better we can help.
Samples to match. If you are matching existing wood (flooring, trim, furniture), bring a sample piece so we can compare species, color, and grain.
Photos of the installation space. Pictures help us understand the lighting, style, and context where the wood will live.
A tape measure. We have them at the office, but having your own speeds things up when you are comparing boards.
Your vehicle (if picking up). Know your truck bed or trailer dimensions so we can confirm your lumber will fit. We can help with strapping and securing loads.

Urgent Requests
Need something urgently? Call during business hours and let the person who answers know your timeline. We can often accommodate same-day or next-day needs for in-stock inventory. For after-hours emergencies (e.g., a jobsite needs material first thing in the morning), email with “URGENT” in the subject line and we will prioritize your request when we open.
Getting the Fastest Quote
The more information you include in your initial request, the faster we can return an accurate quote. Here is what helps us respond quickly.
1. Be specific about species. “I need reclaimed white oak” gets a quote faster than “I need some wood.” If you are flexible on species, tell us that too — we can suggest alternatives that may be more available or cost-effective.
2. Include dimensions. Thickness, width, and length. For flooring, the square footage is sufficient. For beams, give us the cross-section and length.
3. Specify the finish. Rough, skip-planed, or S4S? Tongue-and-groove or shiplap profile? Finish affects both pricing and lead time.
4. State your quantity. Board feet, linear feet, or square feet — whatever is easiest for you. We will convert as needed.
5. Share your timeline. When do you need the material? This helps us determine if current inventory can fill your order or if custom milling or sourcing is needed.
6. Mention delivery vs. pickup. If delivery, include the address so we can include delivery cost in the quote. If pickup, we will confirm availability at the yard.
